God's Plan For Us

This is our journey - God's incredible plan for our lives. When we followed the moving of the Holy Spirit, He opened the windows of Heaven and poured out upon us blessings we never dreamed of! Indescribable joy!

" For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Friends, Please click on link above that says  "Xiaoyun Speaks" to watch  a video Xiaoyun made, encouraging others to adopt. She saw me preparing some adoption/ orphan care links for our church web page and got all excited. She told me she wanted to tell people, too. Our friend came over and sat the camera in front of her and asked only one question - "What do you want to tell others?". Until she started speaking, we had no idea what she was going to say. What a precious testimony!!! Please feel free to share with anyone who might be blessed by it!
Xiaoyun goes into the hospital for at least 6 weeks in January. She will have 4 surgeries to treat her severe congenital scoliosis. Her first surgery is January 4. We appreciate all who will keep her in their prayers!

  1. I was very touched by Xiaoyun's testimony. I returned from China last April with my 7 yr. old daughter, my first child, and before I even left to get her, I felt the call of my second daughter, who is waiting, unknown as yet, and probably close the aging out. I don't know where the money will come from, but I have faith that it will come when it's needed.

I have followed another blog by a family whose daughter has a similar condition to Xiaoyun's and she did very well with her halo and surgery. She was up and in the playroom on the second day, in fact.

My prayers are with Xiaoyun as she tries to gain weight in preparation for her surgeries and begins to learn what they entail. She's obviously proven to be a valiant daughter of God, to leave her foster family and all she knows to be with her forever family.

I loved it most when Xiaoyun mentioned having a big brother, girls getting to go to school, and a gift of a warm blanket. It was easy to see how important these things are. Please tell her that I'm doing all I can to find my next "match!"

  2. Thank you for this very encouraging video. I love hearing her say "Baba and Mama" So cute. We are traveling in a few short weeks (Feb.) to bring home a nine year old boy with severe scoliosis and a four year old boy as well. We know the Lord has called us to bring these boys home, but there are days where we are fearful. Thanks so much for the encouragement.
