God's Plan For Us

This is our journey - God's incredible plan for our lives. When we followed the moving of the Holy Spirit, He opened the windows of Heaven and poured out upon us blessings we never dreamed of! Indescribable joy!

" For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Together at last!

We are back in our room. When we got to the civil affairs bureau, we were told that the orphanage had experienced car trouble, and we would have to wait a while. As we prepared to wait, in walked our Elli. Needless to say, we were surprised to see her. She is so beautiful. Her hair has grown [and so has her belly ;)] She came with four women from the orphanage and a bag full of her things and the stuffed panda we gave her for her birthday. She would not let anyone touch her things, and in her hand, was a grape tomato. She wouldn't really look at us, but she seemed fine while the other ladies were there. As soon as they walked out the room, however, she began crying uncontrollably. She cried and screamed until we got back into our hotel room, and continued to for another hour or so.
PTL for fruit loops!!!! Virgil discovered those were the ticket!! She has been eating on those for about 45 minutes, and the bag is starting to get empty. No worries though, we have more.
It's obvious how much her foster mother loved her. She had a wonderful photo album made of pictures of Elli [and one with both of them] She sent the birthday gifts we gave Elli [and even the photo album we sent her. You can tell how much it has been looked through.] and a brand new outfit.
She liked the photo album that our family made for her. She loves to look at pictures of herself and Zeza =] She finally let go of the bag with all of her things, and her panda is sitting beside her, but her tomato is still in her hand. We have had to sit in front of the hotel door to keep her from escaping. She knows how to work the dead-bolt. Fortuantely, the fruit Loops have distracted her from the door. Right now, she is sitting on a suitcase eating and smiling at Baba.
It's amazing that a little girl who was so sad just a few minutes ago is able to smile. Right at this second, we have just heard her laugh for the first time!! PTL :) She really is a gorgeous girl, and we are so blessed that she is part of our family now. Love to you all!!!! Thanks for all the prayers!!
Love, Virgil, Cindy, Emily, and Elli Chun! =]
